I recently read an article in a soccer magazine on 10 reasons why coaches fail and one stood out to me, the lack of vision.
With starting a new program, vision has been my number one priority, it is what drives me everyday. Throughout the past month or so, the vision of the program may have changed slightly, as I am learning, but the values of that vision stay the same. It is imperative in starting a program that there is a vision for the future and the clearer and more specific that vision is, the easier it is to share that vision. Here is a check list for creating your vision and sharing it:
1) Know your goals, morals, ideas, and activities for your program. Give thorough thought to each of these aspects. What you have identified as important should drive you and the members of your program to achieve.
