Rachel Sandler

Rachel Sandler is in her second season as the Assistant Coach of Cross Country and Track & Field at Bryn Mawr College. She is USATF Level I certified and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Sport Management from Drexel University.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Haverford College (minor in French). While at Haverford, she competed in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track; her main events were the 800m and 1500m. She was also a student athletic trainer at Haverford and worked with a variety of sports teams.

Rachel graduated 6th in her class from Central High School in Philadelphia, where she also competed in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. She qualified for and competed in the PA State Meet in the mile and was captain her senior year for all 3 seasons. Rachel attended Briarwood Running Camp during the summers of high school, and was a counselor at the camp for a summer in college.

Rachel has a strong passion for running and after deciding that a career in employee health benefits consulting or biostatistics were not the right fit, she decided that she wanted to become a coach. She currently competes in triathlons and trains with the Bryn Mawr team for fitness.
