This website hosts the research projects, teaching, and service activities for Dr. Aroutis Foster.  Dr. Foster teaches, publishes, and conducts research on the theoretical and practical application of immersive digital environments for human cognition, behavior, and learning. His broad research agenda lies at the intersection of several domains – Digital Media, Educational Psychology (human cognition and behavior), and Educational Technology in the interdisciplinary area of the Learning Sciences and Technologies. His research focuses on technology and learning through projective reflection to explore identities. He aims to help learners construct knowledge, value school content, and explore identities in STEM disciplines and the Arts using immersive digital technologies. This includes model testing and development to integrate games to support teachers and to address the design, pedagogic, assessment, identity formation, and motivational affordances of immersive digital environments for learning.
